On Thursday, October 15, I’ll be attending Housing Solutions and the Municipal Election at the Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga.
The event will feature affordable housing advocate Garth Brown, Co-Chair of the National Faith Network with the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness. The discussion will focus on Mississauga’s housing and homelessness challenges and practical approaches to creating more affordable housing.
Housing is not simply about constructing more buildings. We need to consider affordability, infrastructure, neighbourhoods, transportation, responsible development and the needs of people who are struggling to find or maintain a place to call home.
As a candidate for Ward 2, I believe it is important to show up, listen to people with experience in these areas, ask questions and consider solutions that can realistically work in Mississauga.
Residents and municipal candidates are encouraged to attend.
📅 Thursday, October 15, 2026 — 7:30 p.m.
📍 UCM Great Hall
84 South Service Rd., Mississauga
I look forward to the discussion and to hearing from residents about the housing challenges they are experiencing in our community.
