Residents are concerned about rising taxes and whether the services they receive are keeping pace.
My approach to responsible spending starts with clear expectations. Before approving a major expenditure, Council should understand the problem being addressed, the options available, the full cost and the benefit residents can expect.
That means better planning, transparent procurement and oversight throughout a project. When costs increase or timelines change, residents deserve an explanation.
Reliable roads, parks, snow clearing and other essential services matter. Responsible spending means making informed choices that support those services and demonstrate value for the people paying for them.
If elected, I will ask those questions and explain my decisions clearly.
